Dragon

Reviewed by Asma Malik (2007 Sedona International Film Festival)

Director: Troy Morgan
Genre: Animation

Water Cooler Buzz: Dragon is provocative both visually and mentally, giving the audience subtleties to ponder and unique animation to admire. The visuals are of a pleasantly soft and deep quality, drawing the audience into its painting-like environment.

Synopsis: In a dreary city, a young girl is driven to draw; we watch her drawing endlessly throughout the day and night. When she suddenly loses her family and home in a tragic fire, the young girl must brave life in an orphanage. Despite her unpleasant surroundings, the young girl's imagination continues to overflow into her art. In the process, she creates a powerful fire-breathing dragon that captivates not only herself but her community as well.
